Unreal Engine 4

A fundamentally new format and content of this course will allow each student in two months to gain knowledge in game project development and work with the game engine Unreal Engine 4. Throughout the course students will be engaged in the development of their own game in the RPG genre, which later can be presented to a future employer or publisher as a prototype.

The learning process is as close as possible to the real development process and teamwork. Students use tools and software that are used in real-world development. No technical or programming knowledge is required, but it will be a big plus for future employment.

After each lesson, students are asked to take a test. The analysis of basic errors will be done at the end of the next lecture. There are also homework assignments in the course, which are part of the coursework, but they will be discussed in detail in the dedicated practical sessions. Students will be able to ask local questions about homework assignments in the general group chat. There will be a total of 3 separate hands-on sessions in which students’ coursework will be reviewed.
